The Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) of ESCAP, in collaboration with the Administrative Centre for China’s Agenda 21 (ACCA 21), is organizing the International Conference on Technology and Innovation for Climate Resilient Agriculture and Bioeconomy on 2 December 2026 in Changsha, People’s Republic of China. The conference will serve as a platform to bring together key stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss strategies, technologies, and partnerships that can strengthen climate resilience and advance sustainable bioeconomy development.

The conference will focus on critical areas for accelerating the transition towards climate-resilient agriculture and a sustainable bioeconomy, including climate-smart and precision agriculture technologies, agricultural biotechnology, digital tools and artificial intelligence, and innovative financing mechanisms to scale up bioeconomy investments. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge, share experiences and best practices, and explore opportunities for technological innovation, investment, and regional cooperation.

The event is intended for government officials, policymakers, researchers, scientists, technology innovators, industry representatives, farmer organizations, cooperatives, educational and research institutions, financial institutions, and international organizations working in the fields of agriculture, biotechnology, climate resilience, and the bioeconomy.
