Regional Capacity Building on Climate Innovation and Market Readiness

The Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) of ESCAP in collaboration with Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) will be jointly organizing a Regional Capacity Building on Climate Innovation and Market Readiness from 16–17 October 2026 in Davao City, Philippines and Online.

This conference aims to enhance participants’ knowledge and practical understanding of climate and DRR-CCA technology commercialization and market adoption. It will strengthen capabilities in sustainable business models, intellectual property management, and technology licensing. Participants will develop skills in market intelligence, customer validation, internationalization, and innovation management. The program will also increase awareness of climate financing mechanisms, green investments, and investment readiness for resilient technologies and enterprises. Furthermore, it will support the HANDA Pilipinas initiative while fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration between DOST-TAPI and APCTT to advance climate innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship.

The conference is designed for startups, spin-offs, researchers, inventors, technology developers, and technology transfer professionals involved in climate-responsive and DRR-CCA innovations. It also targets representatives from incubators, accelerators, innovation hubs, LGUs, sustainability-focused organizations.
