The Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) jointly with Technology Application and Promotion Institute (TAPI), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Philippines organised an International Conference on the Commercialization of Intellectual Property Assets and PHILIPPiNExT: Philippines’ International Exposition of Technologies from 14 to 17 July 2025 at Manila, Philippines
The international conference and exposition served as a collaborative platform for regional stakeholders to build cross-border networking and partnerships for exploitation of their IP assets. Enhanced collaboration and shared best practices can boost investor confidence, potentially increasing cross-border investments in IP-intensive industries. The exposition provided a platform to innovators from the region to showcase technology innovations to explore cross-border collaboration and networking opportunities. The event contributed to the overall development of a robust and collaborative environment for the commercialization of IP assets in the Asia-Pacific region.
The conference brought together key stakeholders, including policymakers and government officials, business leaders, academicians, research organizations, and intellectual property experts, to discuss and exchange ideas on strategies and best practices for commercializing intellectual property assets.
