C-glass Fiber Production
C-GLASS FIBER PRODUCTION (2000-4000 MT/YEAR) BY POT FURNACE: Chinese company offers the technology and equipment for glass fiber manufacturing by Pot Furnace. It is a production technology which is in between the Direct-Melt process and the Marble process. It re-melts the glass marbles in a melting pot and produces the glass fiber from multi-bushing plates with 800 tips underneath the forming channels, which are extended limbs from the melting pot. The geometric double-deck layout, air flow control and fiber forming section are of the same as Direct Melt process. The major techno-economic indices are: (1) Production scale: 2,000-4,000 MT/yr C-glass fiber; (2) Melting efficiency: 5 MT/day.sq.m.; (3) Furnace campaign: 3 years; (4) Number of bushing tips: 800 tips; (5) Service life of bushing: 5 months; (6) Throughput per bushing: 650 kg/bushing.day; (7) Power consumption: 2,200 kW hr/per ton of fiber.
